We came upon what looked like another chimney standing by itself in the woods on a hill with a beautiful view overlooking a town. On closer examination it turned out to be a grave. The epitaph on the stone below the date he died is priceless.
"Lived alone, suffered alone, died alone."
And now he's buried alone on the hill in the woods miles from town.

Just hiked past Nick's monument last week. The inscribed slab is about to fall out of it's position, and is being held in place by a cord wrapped around the rock wall. Hope the fund that has been established to repair and restore the memorial can help soon. Bill T.
